Fruity
O'Rooney won his second steeplechase, his fourth career win in
total, at Fontwell on 27th February with a typically gutsy
performance. Our keen front runner is a great jumper and he
relishes the soft conditions we have had of late. He battled
bravely from the last to hold recent chase winner Sarando by a
neck. What a great horse to own!
Fruity
O'Rooney won his first chase at Fontwell in October, since then he
ran in a £150,000 hurdle at Haydock before finishing a brave second
to decent horses in races at Fontwell, Warwick and Plumpton, so
this second chase win was very much deserved! He has finished
second to the likes of GRANDS CRUS and QUANTITVEEASING who both ran
big races at the 2011 Cheltenham Festival so the form has stood up
very well.
Owners
in this thrilling partnership have plenty to look forward in years
to come with races in France, Ireland and even the cross country
fences at the Paddy Power Meeting and Cheltenham Festival all
future targets as the horse matures into a handicap chaser. For now
though, we will live on his latest win at Fontwell - pictures
below.
