Well done to all owners on another
fantastic win from FRUITY O’ROONEY on his introduction to chasing.
He could not have jumped any better, showing his usual enthusiasm
and really battling after the last to hold the second at
bay.
For a
small horse he has so much power and he jumped the fences with
ease. He was also very clever, you could see him lining up a stride
well in advance of the fence and putting in short and long strides
where necessary to get himself out of trouble. Gary, Jamie and
Philip were all delighted with him, and expect better too when he
is upped in trip and is on softer
ground.
FRUITY
O’ROONEY is now likely to tackle the £25,000 Grade 2 novice chase
over 3 miles at Lingfield on Saturday 11th December. As well as
seeming to offer Fruity’s ideal conditions, it often attracts a
very small field (3 last year, abandoned in 2008, 6 runners in 2007
and won by Gary’s Verasi).
