FRUITY
O'ROONEY has been with us since summer 2009 and has proved to be a
really tough and consistent horse, finishing in the prize money
several times including a fantastic win at Lingfield. Along the way
he took his owners to Kempton Park on Boxing Day, one of the
biggest days in the racing calendar, and thrilled us all by
finishing third. He also took his owners to the winners enclosures
at Leicester, Fontwell and Cheltenham with some very close placed
finishes.
He has
just returned to training after his summer break (looking a million
dollars!) and will be prepared for a season of novice chasing. Gary
has already schooled him over fences and is very excited by this
horse's brilliant jumping.
Phillip
Hide, on whose recommendation we bought the horse, says, "He is the
ideal syndicate horse. He has low mileage, can jump for fun and has
given me plenty of reasons to like him in the past. He will suit
Gary's set-up and should progress into a decent chaser in
time."

Jockey - JOSHUA MOORE
FRUITY O'ROONEY wins so easily with his young jockey riding
very confidently. The ground was heavy and the horses feet were
going in to really deep mud but Fruity just seems to skip over it
and finished 15 lengths in front with his ears pricked!

FRUITY
O'ROONEY (named by his previous trainer after a dream about an
Irish pub!) is by top National Hunt Sire, KAHYASI.
KAHYASI historically produces horse who require a bit of time
and therefore, we could have ideally purchased FRUITY O'ROONEY at
the right time.
His Dam, RECIPE, has produced some interesting winners in her time
namely Group horse HEART who won over £75,000 in prize money. She
was by BUSTINO who was also a decent National Hunt Sire, so our
fellow really does have '3mile Chaser" written all over
him!
